Job summary

Twyver (VINCI Energies) in Gloucester is seeking a Busbar Fabricator to join our power distribution and switchgear engineering team. This full-time role involves fabricating and assembling busbars for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, reading technical drawings and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

We value detail-oriented team players who adhere to electrical safety standards and collaborate with engineers, panel builders and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in busbar fabrication, panel building or similar electrical assembly.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and layout diagrams.
• Skilled with workshop tools and machinery for fabrication and assembly.
• Understanding of electrical safety, insulation methods and busbar system requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Capable of collaborating with design engineers and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, punch and assemble busbars for low- and medium-voltage switchgear.
• Interpret drawings and work instructions to produce accurate assemblies.
• Operate fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Fabricate busbars to precise dimensions and specifications.
• Install insulation, fixings and supports to meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and panel builders; support inspections and testing.
