Job summary

FirstGroup in Taunton is seeking a PCV Shunter/Fueller to join our depot team. You will be responsible for shunting buses, driving to fuelling stations and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of vehicles for daily service.

The role requires a PCV driving license and offers full-time, permanent hours across 39 hours per week with early morning shifts from Monday to Friday. Competitive hourly rate and annual salary reflect responsibilities at the Taunton depot.

Qualifications

• Must hold a PCV driving license to be considered for this role.
• Experience in cleaning is advantageous.
• Ability to work flexibly across early shifts.

Responsibilities

• Shunting buses around the depot to prepare for shifts, cleaning, maintenance or next task.
• Drive buses to fuelling stations and return to depot.
• Carry out vehicle and depot cleaning, including exterior cleaning with a pressure washer.
• Perform general site maintenance as required.
• Check oil and water levels and tops up as needed.
• Record all work done on the appropriate sheets/records.
