We’re on the lookout for a Bus Service Engineer to join our close-knit team at StagecoachChester. You'll play a vital role in keeping our modern, low-emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community.

Whether you’re servicing vehicles, diagnosing faults, or carrying out roadside repairs, this is a role where your expertise makes a visible difference every day.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
  • Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
  • Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies
  • Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment although we are open to different backgrounds
  • Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals
  • A proactive, safety-first approach
  • Able to work flexibly across a 7-day rota
  • A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence
