Job description

Network Planning Manager - West

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexibility required)
Salary: Up to Circa £55k Basic and OTE £60k+ Benefits

We are looking for a Network Planning Manager - West to join a well-established transport operator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced network planner to oversee the development of timetables, duties, and rotas that evolve to meet customer and stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop bus network proposals in collaboration with the Head of Commercial.
  2. Compile timetables that align with customer needs and strategic objectives.
  3. Create efficient duties and rotas, balancing operational efficiency and staff well-being.
  4. Continuously review service performance using data analytics tools (PowerBI, CitySwift, etc.).
  5. Support commercial decision-making through accurate data provision.
  6. Manage and develop the Planning Team, ensuring high-quality output.
  7. Assist in scenario modeling for new business development opportunities.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including BODS and Traffic Commissioner requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Experience leading network planning and scheduling changes.
  2. Proficiency in scheduling software (Omnibus, Hastus, Trapeze, etc.).
  3. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  5. Full UK driving license required.
Desirable:
  1. Degree-level qualification.
  2. Knowledge of the bus industry.
  3. PSV license and Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
