Pay Rate:£20.60 per hour

Schedule:Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (47.5 hours per week)

On-Call:1 week in every 68 weeks (£175 per week on-call allowance)

Overview

EthTech Talent Ltd is recruiting for a skilledBus Mechanic / PSV Technician / PCV Engineeron behalf of a major UK public transport company. This is a full-time, permanent role based at the Bourton-on-the-Water depot, offering regular weekday hours with no rotating shift requirements.

If you have experience in maintaining and repairingpublic service vehicles (PSV),passenger carrying vehicles (PCV), orheavy goods vehicles (HGV), this role offers a stable schedule and excellent earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, inspect, and repair a fleet of PCVs and buses in line with DVSA standards
  • Conduct diagnostic testing on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Accurately record work carried out using tablets and fleet management software
  • Use OEM technical manuals and documentation to follow procedures
  • Comply with all workshop health and safety regulations
  • Work independently and support the team as required
  • Carry out any other duties relevant to the PSV mechanic role

Candidate Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Alternatively, 5+ years of hands-on experience working on buses, coaches, PCVs, or HGVs
  • Experience in servicing and repairing public service vehicles is highly desirable
  • Comfortable using diagnostic software and electronic job cards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset

Salary & Benefits

  • Earnings between £57,000 £60,000 per year (based on base pay, on-call, and potential overtime) (£49K-£52K Base)
  • £175 weekly on-call allowance (1 week in every 68 weeks)
