Job summary

Arriva London is seeking a skilled engineer to maintain and repair buses, ensuring safety and reliability across the fleet. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and support MOT preparation while upholding Arriva and DVSA standards.

We value candidates with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or 5+ years of hands-on experience, and a valid UK license with minimal points. A PCV license is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification for PSV/HGV or light vehicle maintenance.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience accepted if not formally qualified.
• Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
• PCV license preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
• Commitment to delivering safe, reliable maintenance quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on a fleet of buses.
• Ensure servicing, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Assist with MOT preparation, maintenance campaigns and quality checks.
• Improve bus reliability through ongoing monitoring, maintenance and repair.
• Work with flexible shift patterns as discussed with the team.
