Job summary

Stagecoach Group in Preston is seeking a skilled Trimmer to join our Engineering team at Preston Depot. You will repair and recover passenger seating, measure and fit new covers, and help maintain the look and comfort of our fleet to support reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in upholstery repair & recovery, trimming, or similar craft-based role.
• Familiar with different trim and repair materials.
• Knowledge of using upholstery tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicle seats by replacing moquette and upholstery materials.
• Measure, cut, sew, stitch, and fit replacement seat covers.
• Replace seat boards, foam, and interior trim components as required.
• Inspect finished work for high quality, durability and presentation.
• Maintain stock levels of trim materials and order replacements when needed.
• Ensure materials and tools are stored safely and securely.
• Collaborate with engineering and workshop teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
