Job summary

The Talent Branch Ltd. is supporting a well-established furniture and upholstery restoration business in Exeter. They seek an experienced Furniture Technician, Upholsterer or Upholstery Specialist to inspect, repair and restore furniture in customers' homes.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience and knowledge of modern materials, with strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach. The role offers a competitive salary, overtime and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in domestic upholstery, furniture repair, or production/restoration techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of modern furniture materials and repair methods.
• Confident written and verbal communication, ability to write customer-facing reports.
• Well organised, proactive and methodical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers in their homes to inspect furniture and upholstery, diagnosing needed repairs.
• Carry out repairs to upholstered furniture to a high standard using provided tools and kits.
• Produce clear written reports for the business and customer after each visit.
• Advise customers on ongoing product care and maintenance.
• Represent the business professionally and deliver excellent customer service.
