Job summary

KM Recruitment is supporting a Transport Training Academy to recruit a Bus Driver Trainer. This role is classroom based with full training provided to achieve the Trainer/Assessor award, suitable for either a Trainee or Qualified candidate.

Duties include delivering funded training for aspiring bus drivers at Newcastle and Sunderland sites, organising learner progress, and adapting delivery to learner needs. Travel across sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid PCV and CPC licences.
• Experience delivering training or mentoring colleagues on-the-job.
• Solid, occupational experience as a Bus Driver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fully funded training programme for aspiring bus drivers across sites.
• Deliver training in-person classroom/workshop sessions.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Adapt delivery to meet learner needs and ensure timely completion.

Our client is offering thisrole as a Trainee or Qualified opportunity – full training will be provided for the successful candidate to achieve the Trainer/Assessor award.

Essential Criteria

• Must hold valid PCV and CPC licences.
• Must have experience of delivering training, or mentoring, colleagues on-the-job (e.g. practical training; classroom training; CPC training; route learning; vehicle checks etc.)
• Must hold solid, occupational experience as a Bus Driver.
• Comfortable and confident to deliver classroom / workshop-based group sessions.
• Must be I.T. literate.
• Full, clean, UKdriving licence and use of own vehicle.

Duties

• Deliver a fully funded training programme for aspiring bus drivers, alongside ongoing development and mandatory CPC training for existing drivers.
• Training delivery will be in-person classroom/workshop based.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
• Work to learner review and completion timescales.
