Job summary

Stagecoach in Ashford is recruiting for an Apprentice Bus Driver. You’ll train on the job, earning while you learn, with fully paid Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship and PCV licence training.

Starting at £12.21 per hour during training (6–8 weeks) with potential annual earnings of £30,420 once qualified, based on 39 hours per week. No prior experience needed; a willingness to learn and great customer service are essential to join our welcoming team.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Right to work in the UK (you will have been in the UK for 183 days as part of DVLA requirements).
• A patient, safe and courteous approach to driving.
• Being the face of Stagecoach, a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a brilliant team.

Responsibilities

• Completing our industry leading training, securing your PCV licence followed by ongoing CPC training and professional development as part of the Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.
• Driving our fleet safely and confidently while upholding customer service standards.
• Ensuring every customer has a great journey with a welcoming and helpful attitude.
• Delivering top-notch customer service to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Creating a welcoming environment where customers feel respected and looked after, especially those who rely on us most.
• Working flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
