Key Responsibilities of a Bus Cleaning Operative

1. Clean the coaches and buses to the highest quality standards.
2. Sweep the vehicle and remove all rubbish and debris from the floor, seats, luggage racks, and driver’s cabin.
3. Check the vehicle for any lost property.
4. Wipe down all armrests, window sills, and trays.
5. Clean windows using glass cleaner and a cloth.
6. Vacuum carpets and seats if required.
7. Buckle up all seat belts, mop all vinyl flooring, remove seat pads, and vacuum underneath.
8. Wipe overhead luggage racks and footrests.
9. Clean coach toilets.
10. Complete the cleaning checklist and display it at the front of the vehicle.
11. Perform touch point cleaning.

Key Requirements for a Bus Cleaning Operative

• Ability to work comfortably alone and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage an ever-changing workload.
• Cleaning experience is preferred but full training will be provided.
• Good understanding of English, both written and spoken.
