Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Band 6 Nurse with an interest in Burns and Plastics Specialist nursing. You will work within the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure inpatient and outpatient care meets holistic needs and high standards of nursing.

Your duties include assessing care needs, developing and evaluating care plans, managing a caseload on the ward or Burns Unit, and supervising junior and training staff in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NHS Band 6 level experience or relevant senior nursing background.
• Experience in burns or plastic surgery care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Manage a caseload on the ward/Burns Unit.
• Perform wound dressings and assess wounds for infection.
• Maintain high standards of nursing care within Trust policies.
• Supervise junior qualified staff and mentor unqualified staff.
