Burns and Plastics Specialist Nurse Band 6

This post although based in the acute sector, is a regional post and the post holder will act as a link providing an outreach service between hospital and community, province wide. The postholder will provide a resource of specialist nursing skills, knowledge and expertise in the care and management of children with Burns and Plastics. The postholder will work closely with the multidisciplinary teams and other agencies and will initiate, develop and implement effective approaches to meet the needs of this client group and their families. The postholder will initiate and participate in audit, research and development of the Burns and Plastics service and is required to input into the National Burns database. The postholder will be an advocate for children and their families, promoting child focused family-centered care and act as a resource for healthcare professionals involved with these patients.
