A local government authority in Coventry seeks a compassionate professional to supervise burials and provide a caring service to bereaved families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, problem-solving capabilities, and experience in the Bereavement Service industry. We are responsible for the provision of burial across six cemeteries located citywide, the management of Canley Crematorium and Gardens of Remembrance, and various other services including Public Health Funerals and post cremation memorials. Under the general direction of the Senior Burial Supervisor, and having due regard for the needs of the bereaved, be responsible for the supervision of burials, provide a caring and efficient burial service, and represent the service to a range of stakeholders.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and communicate in all forms including face-to-face, in writing, and by telephone in a caring and empathetic manner with bereaved families, members of the public, and stakeholders accordingly.
You will have excellent problem-solving capabilities, in-depth knowledge, and a detailed understanding of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order. You will also have previous experience working within the Bereavement Service industry.
