Job summary

Asbestos Consultants Europe Ltd (ACE) is expanding its Grays laboratory and seeks a meticulous Bulk Analyst (P401) to join the team. You will handle bulk sample analysis, report findings, and support quality controls to ensure high standards in asbestos testing.

The role requires experience with PLM methods and a commitment to safety, with salary up to £28,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Hours are 37.5 per week, with benefits and a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Essential: P401 Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples (PLM).
• Optional: P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings.

Responsibilities

• Booking in and preparing samples received from site, undertaking sample analysis and reporting analytical findings.
• Undertaking routine quality checks assigned by the Lab Supervisor.
• Participating in the internal QC programme and external proficiency schemes.
• Ensuring the safe use of substances and safe handling of samples at all times.
• Following procedures as described in HSG248 and ACE's documented in-house procedures.
• Keeping up to date with current regulations and maintaining technical knowledge and skills related to the role.
• Providing technical support, and undertaking other lab duties as and when required.

We're expanding, and our Grays laboratory is looking for a meticulous Bulk Analyst to join the team.

About the role

You'll be proficient in all aspects of bulk sample analysis, ensuring accurate and reliable results. Reporting to both the Laboratory Supervisor and Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining our commitment to high-quality asbestos analysis. Our mission is to make buildings safer - and we need dedicated professionals to uphold our high standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

The details

Hours: 37.5 hrs, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30

Salary: Up to £28,000, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
