Project Overview:

This project aims to manage and develop a dedicated Suai Supply Base, through a Design-Build and Finance contract. The Supervision works of SSB design build contract will provide specialized project management advice and expertise in the development of onshore and offshore works.

We are currently seeking an experienced Buildings Engineer with a minimum of 15 years' post-graduate experience to join our team in the region. The Buildings Engineer will oversee the design verification and construction of operational, commercial, and accommodation buildings. This includes structural, architectural, and functional compliance with user requirements and safety codes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Team Lead.
  • Review and validate architectural and structural designs of all buildings.
  • Supervise construction of buildings including materials and MEP fit out.
  • Ensure compliance with seismic and accessibility codes.
  • Coordinate closely with Infrastructure and MEP specialists for service integration.
  • Conduct quality inspections, snagging and final handovers.
  • Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
  • Perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 15+ years in building construction supervision, preferably in industrial or marine support settings.
  • Lead engineer on at least two port/supply base facilities with buildings scope exceeding USD 200 million.
  • Strong command of building codes, HSE requirements, and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience with tropical climate design, green buildings or prefabricated structures.
  • Familiarity with fire safety and building services coordination.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and computer skills, with excellent site supervision and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
