Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Building Systems Scientist to join its Central Innovation R&D team in East Leake. The role focuses on understanding product performance in real building applications, supporting full-scale testing programmes and delivering innovative system solutions for construction markets worldwide.

Based on-site in East Leake, you will work with customers, project teams and international stakeholders to translate technical requirements into practical solutions while advancing

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Material Science.
• Experience in building systems or R&D environments.
• Strong understanding of system performance and product function.
• Experience supporting testing programmes and interpreting technical results.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead full-scale system testing programmes, analysing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Work with customers, project teams and international stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
• Provide technical expertise on building systems, structural performance and product application in construction environments.
• Coordinate and communicate testing activity, findings and progress across R&D and wider teams.
• Contribute to development of innovative system solutions that improve performance and value.
