We recruit for attitude and behaviour which are central to building relationships and delivering great experiences. We employ colleagues who are passionate about making a difference and take responsibility to get things done.
As a not-for-profit housing association providing affordable homes and services to over 20,000 people across Greater Manchester, we have a strong social purpose and make it our mission to enable people to live well in their home and community.
We’re looking for someone who can play a key role in identifying and resolving complex defects and hazard issues, as well as overseeing and managing associated works. You’ll provide technical expertise in relation to building defects and complex issues and determine appropriate remedial action as a long-term resolution.
Furthermore, we seek individuals who can contribute to the analysis of building defects to identify trends as part of a proactive, planned preventative maintenance approach and develop programmes of work to resolve issues before they become costly repair problems that negatively impact budgets and the quality of our customers' homes.
You’ll ensure the effective management of building work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Additionally, you will provide efficient and effective technical expertise, contract management, planning, and liaison with relevant parties.
We need people who are/have:
Due to the nature of the role, a full valid driving license and access to your own vehicle is required.
Everyone’s welcome here. Our culture is inclusive, and we are committed to increasing diversity. We enable everyone to be themselves at work so that they feel at home with us. We trust and support people to do their best in a fulfilling and rewarding role, as this helps us deliver better outcomes for our customers and colleagues. We also encourage applications from females across the association in areas where we are underrepresented, like Trades and Construction.
If you want to be part of our team and help us make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
