A large consultancy has a need for an experienced Building Surveyor with CAD skills to work on a maintenance contract for a government department, for an initial 3-month period.
The Role
Working on a framework for delivering office refits, from RIBA stage 2, with stages 2-4 to be completed within a very tight programme. The works are fairly minor in nature – a tea point relocation/refresh – but high volume. The small schemes would typically require an architectural layout and an electrical/plumbing layout.
Travel will be minimized, with site progress meetings conducted remotely where possible, using videos or 3D models of site progress. However, some travel will be required, mostly in the Midlands/North regions across the UK.
About You
You should be a qualified Building Surveyor or hold an architectural qualification.
You need to be up-to-date with the latest amendments to building regulations to identify works requiring building regulation approval and to meet the Principal Designer requirements, with the necessary experience or qualification to undertake that role.
This role is initially for 3 months, covering the Midlands and North regions.
What you'll get in return
Weekly pay, holiday pay, and pension if PAYE, or Umbrella. This role is inside IR35.
