Are you a SITE MANAGER looking for a change in career? Something a bit less stressful and more flexible. We are seeking our next surveyor at Best Snag Scotland. We are Scotland's only dedicated snagging company owned and operated by Chartered Surveyors. The role would suit a current Building Surveyor or Site Manager seeking a better work/life balance with flexibility over working days. Training to ensure knowledge of our processes will be provided and you do not need to be a chartered building surveyor or site manager to apply, but you must be open to learning our systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform residential surveys with a target of one survey per day to ensure thorough attention to each home and client.
  • Work independently on-site at residential properties, coordinating with clients and their families/pets as needed.
  • Follow Best Snag Scotland processes and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Manage time to accommodate occasional early finishes or evenings to meet survey and reporting deadlines.
  • Travel within the central belt, with accessibility to east, west, and as far north as Perth; ensure you have own transport.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Current site manager or NHBC inspector with extensive experience building new build houses and handling the customer care process.
  • Willingness to receive training and learn our systems and processes.
  • Comfortable working on your own in residential settings.
  • Health and safety conscious, tidy, punctual, well presented, highly motivated, driven, and an excellent communicator who prioritizes client needs and service.
  • Must have own transport and be willing to travel as described.
  • Note: Chartered status is not required to apply.
Salary and Benefits
  • £45-55K earning potential, with an estimated £48-55k per year based on taking 40 days of holiday per year.
  • The role is on a self-employed basis with full support to set yourself up.
  • You control your holidays and working days, with days that may be finished earlier or extended to meet deadlines.
  • Training on our systems and processes will be provided to the successful candidate.
