Job summary

Rue Two Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor in Manchester on behalf of a leading built asset consultancy. You will handle contract administration, project leadership, and multi-sector refurbishment work with a project bias.

Qualifications

Job description

Senior / Associate Building Surveyor – Manchester

This leading built asset consultancy are looking for a talented Building Surveyor at Senior or Associate level in Manchester.

There is likely to be a project bias with the expectation that you will be responsible for a number of projects, acting either as the contract administrator or as a lead consultant / project manager. The projects are likely to range in value from circa £500K up to circa £15m. Typical projects include exterior renovation contracts, internal common parts and design work, private refurbishment projects and major façade remediation schemes.

The consultant and advisory work will include core building surveying functions such as defects diagnosis, planned maintenance programming, landlord and tenant matters, reinstatement cost assessments, party wall and general advice.

Knowledge and experience of the JCT suite of contracts is an absolute must. Knowledge of other contracts, such as NEC, would be helpful, and experience in a range of procurement routes and forms of contract is expected. The ability to lead a project team effectively is also a prerequisite.

Ideally MRICS you will have a minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in Building Surveying with demonstrable experience across residential, commercial and refurbishment projects.
