Job Opportunity: Building Surveyor - Cumbria Region (12-Month Contract)

Location: Manchester (office for occasional meetings) + Daily Site Visits Across Cumbria

Day Rate: Up to £450 (Umbrella) / £327.17 (PAYE)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Contract Length: 12 months

Security Clearance: BPSS Required

Job Description

McGinley is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to support key infrastructure projects across the Cumbria region. This is an exciting contract role with a strong emphasis on site-based work, ideal for someone located in or near Cumbria.

Responsibilities
  • Surveying and maintaining infrastructure across various sites in Cumbria.
  • Travel to multiple sites daily; occasional attendance at the Manchester office for team meetings.
  • Use of company vehicle and fuel card for travel.
Minimum Requirements
  • A degree in Surveying or an equivalent industry-recognised qualification.
  • Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Safety competencies: PTS and ACDC.
  • Working at Height certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in rail engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of related engineering disciplines.
Additional Information

A security clearance of BPSS is required. Travel support includes a company vehicle and fuel card.
