Job summary

4M Recruitment is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor / Project Manager to support a Dorset portfolio on a 3-6 month contract. The role covers asset safety, compliance, and maintenance, delivering planned and reactive works, and managing capital repairs (£100k+).

You will manage budgets and procurement, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and maintain property data and performance metrics. The role is hybrid with Dorset-based assets.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in surveying or related field.
• Experience delivering remedial and maintenance projects.
• Experience managing contractors to deliver on time, within budget and to specification.
• Budget management and stakeholder engagement experience.

Responsibilities

We're seeking an experienced Building Surveyor / Project Manager to support our clients property portfolio on a initial 3-6 month contract.

This is a hands-on role ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards across a diverse range of assets involving the following:

• Ensure asset compliance, safety, and maintenance
• Deliver planned/reactive maintenance programmes for portfolio of assets
• Manage capital repairs projects (£100k plus), through procurement and implementation
• Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement
• Collaborate across teams and with external partners
• Maintain property data and performance metrics

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Degree or professional qualification
• Delivered remedial and maintenance projects
• Managed contractors ensuring delivery on time, in budget and to specification
• Budget management
• Stakeholder management

This role will be hybrid based with property assets being located across Dorset.

£400 - £500 per day on a umbrella company basis.
