Express Recruitment is supporting a construction consultancy seeking a knowledgeable Building Surveyor to support their long-term growth plans. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with attention to detail and a desire to build on existing Building Surveying experience. • Conduct site inspections and building condition surveys to identify defects, assess maintenance needs, and produce detailed reports.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, and tender documents for refurbishment, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Manage building projects from feasibility to completion, including contract administration and site visits.
• Advise clients on building regulations, planning permissions, and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in delivering a range of building surveying duties, including defect diagnosis, maintenance, dilapidations, and technical reporting in residential, commercial, or public sectors.
• Ability to work independently in complex settings such as listed buildings, heritage sites, or operational environments requiring careful planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage varied workloads and maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Approachable and able to communicate technical matters clearly to tenants, clients, or building users.
