Job summary

CS2 Chartered Surveyors, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Building Surveyor to join our Northampton team on a full-time permanent basis. The role covers inspections, dilapidations, contract administration, maintenance and refurbishment projects, with emphasis on professional surveying duties and client liaison from our Northampton office.

Qualifications

• A relevant RICS-accredited university degree.
• Membership of RICS (MRICS).
• Experience of dealing with and providing advice on a range of building related matters.
• Understanding client needs and delivering commercially aware solutions.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional building surveying duties including inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, maintenance and refurbishment projects, schedules of condition, party wall awards.
• Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure information is available for successful project implementation and completion.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new client contacts and business opportunities.
• Develop knowledge through regular CPD activities and maintain up-to-date awareness of relevant legislation.
• Record CPD in accordance with RICS requirements.
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions to perform duties and aid business development.
• Prepare and submit administration in a timely and accurate manner (timesheets, expenses, invoices).
• Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
• Adhere to health and safety and quality management policies.
