Job Description:

TSA Surveying is working with a renowned multidisciplinary consultancy to identify a talented Building Surveyor to join their growing team delivering a wide range of professional surveying services. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly chartered or mid-level surveyor to work across a national client base with structured support and clear progression pathways.

You’ll play a key role in helping clients manage their assets more effectively — advising on condition, lifecycle, risk, and compliance across healthcare, education, commercial, and public sector estates.

Key Responsibilities

Asset & Condition Surveys

  • Undertake detailed surveys of buildings and estates, identifying defects, maintenance priorities, and future capital requirements.

Lifecycle & Asset Planning

  • Prepare and manage lifecycle cost models and asset management strategies aligned with client objectives and long-term FM agreements.

Technical Reporting & Advice

  • Produce clear and concise technical reports to guide client decision-making, ensuring recommendations are practical, risk-aware, and cost-effective.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to a range of clients, including local authorities, NHS trusts, and private asset owners.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support clients in understanding statutory and contractual obligations related to building condition, safety, and performance.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across surveying, engineering, and facilities consultancy disciplines.

Ideal Candidate

  • MRICS (or working towards) with experience in professional surveying services
  • Strong background in condition surveys, lifecycle planning, and/or technical due diligence
  • Experience working with public sector or institutional clients (e.g. healthcare, education, government)
  • Commercially aware, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple clients and reporting deadlines
  • Familiarity with tools such as Lifecycle modelling software, CAFM systems, and technical report writing

What’s on Offer

  • Hybrid & Flexible Working – location agnostic, with site visits and regional collaboration
  • Project Variety – work across national education, healthcare, local authority and commercial portfolios
  • Professional Growth – full chartership support, CPD, and long-term career planning
  • Collaborative Environment – work alongside experienced surveyors, engineers, and FM experts
  • Reputable Consultancy – become part of a business known for quality delivery and strong client partnerships

If you’re a Building Surveyor looking to develop your technical expertise and advisory skills across major property portfolios, this role offers the scope, support, and visibility to take your career to the next level.
