Salary: £23.67

We are looking for x2 damp and mould surveyors to work within the damp team. The role also involves undertaking ad hoc inspections for other areas of the service. Candidates must have a minimum of HNC in building surveying and experience in surveying, damp, and mould. Own vehicle required; mileage paid.

Purpose of the Job

To provide a specialist, comprehensive professional surveying and technical service to the Task and Finishing Team (TFT) in auditing specific ‘high-risk’ major works projects on the London Borough of Southwark’s social housing estates.

To offer professional building surveying expertise and advice on processes and procedures related to procurement and management of major works improvement projects in social housing, including identifying areas for improvement.

Structure

The post reports to the Interim Design and Delivery Manager and plays a key role within the TFT.

Knowledge, including educational qualifications
  • Qualified Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS)
  • Knowledge of housing building maintenance, refurbishment, and contract management
  • Understanding of landlord/tenant matters, leaseholder consultation, contract disputes, and resolution
  • Experience with maintenance and refurbishment contracts in urban environments
Experience
  • Providing advice and dealing with the public, resolving queries
