Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Building Surveyor to work on a hybrid basis in Rotherham, delivering surveying, design, contract administration and project management from inception to completion. The role is a full-time temporary contract with a £350 per day PAYE rate and 3 days on-site.

Responsibilities include conducting surveying across refurbishment and construction projects, administering contracts, advising on building maintenance, and supporting procurement and tendering.

Qualifications

• Provide professional building surveying expertise across capital and refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
• Deliver surveying, design, contract administration and project management services.
• Undertake project management duties on construction and property-related schemes.
• Prepare and review designs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Administer construction contracts and manage contractor performance.
• Provide professional advice on building construction, maintenance and property matters.
• Support procurement and tendering activities where required.
• Monitor project costs, programmes and risks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and health and safety requirements.
• Undertake Principal Designer responsibilities where suitably qualified and appointed.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and stakeholders throughout delivery.
