Join us as a Fire Consultant and work with talented colleagues, driving innovation and excellence. You will work on engaging, varied projects across sectors such as retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors. In our multidisciplinary, collaborative environment, you'll be pivotal in managing client relationships while handling technical and legal issues. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Working on local, regional, and national projects providing a range of fire consultancy duties.
  2. Carrying out fire risk assessments, fire compartmentation, and fire door surveys, and providing professional fire consultancy advice.
  3. Supporting AtkinsRéalis' National Lead for fire consultancy and other senior managers in their daily activities.
  4. Staying up-to-date with regulations and legislation.
  5. Line management, mentoring, and training junior staff.
  6. Understanding principles of quality, safety, and environmental management in survey, design, and project management.

Qualifications and experience required include:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety.
  • Membership with the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) or the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
  • Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection is advantageous.
  • Sound technical fire knowledge and passive fire surveying experience.
  • Several years' experience in fire risk assessments across various sectors and property types.
  • Experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development, and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent time management, punctuality, and commitment to completing tasks.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and supporting colleagues' development.
  • Ability to contribute positively to team and client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel for site surveys and assessments.
