BUILDING SURVEYOR
Salary: to £50,000 plus company car
Location: Midlands

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join a leading family-owned private company, renowned for its successful track record in property investment, development, and strategic land promotion. This company boasts a diverse portfolio covering approximately 9 million sq. ft across more than 200 locations, primarily serving SMEs and supporting over 25,000 jobs. The Building Surveyor will play a crucial role in managing lease-end obligations and ensuring compliance with property law, making this an ideal position for a proactive and detail-oriented professional.

Responsibilities Included

  1. Conduct property inspections to assess repair liabilities at lease end.
  2. Prepare detailed dilapidations schedules, including schedules of condition and terminal schedules.
  3. Act as an advisor in dilapidations negotiations between landlords and tenants.
  4. Oversee repair and reinstatement works where required.
  5. Ensure adherence to property law, lease obligations, and health & safety regulations.

Skills and Attributes
  1. 3-5 years of experience as building surveyor, property management, or a similar field.
  2. Strong knowledge of property law, lease agreements, and dilapidations procedures.
  3. Excellent negotiation, communication, and report-writing skills.
