Job summary

The London Borough of Hackney is seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join the Technical Services Team in the Hard Facilities Management division. You will supervise repair and renewal works across ~600 properties and undertake condition surveys of non-residential buildings.

You will advise on building regulations, procurement routes, and contractual obligations, delivering expert reports, costings and dilapidation schedules to support council objectives.

Qualifications

• Building surveying knowledge and technical reporting
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, procurement routes and construction practices
• Ability to assess contractual obligations and prepare schedules of condition/dilapidations

Responsibilities

• Supervise repair and renewal works across circa 600 properties.
• Undertake condition surveys of non-residential properties.
• Advise on building regulations and compliance for council buildings.
• Provide expert reports, appraisals, measurements, costings and dilapidations.
• Assist in managing the technical services team to maintain standards.
