You will undertake a broad mix of project and professional instructions, take ownership of your workload, and contribute to business growth with a proactive, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards chartership with practical building surveying experience.
• Broad experience across building surveys, professional instructions and project delivery.
• Strong report-writing skills and ability to communicate technical advice clearly.

Responsabilités

• Deliver building surveys, condition surveys, defect analysis and due diligence.
• Manage project work: contract administration, monitoring and refurbishment schemes.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
• Conduct inspections and provide commercially focused advice to clients.
• Oversee workload from inception to completion and maintain high standards.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and property professionals.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the wider team's development.

We are working with a leading property consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their established team based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded firm offering a varied workload, a strong pipeline of instructions and the chance to work across a diverse range of properties and clients throughout Worcestershire and South Birmingham.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake a broad mix of project and professional instructions, providing expert building surveying advice to a varied client base. Working within an established team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your workload, develop client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a range of professional instructions, including building surveys, condition surveys, defect analysis and technical due diligence.
• Managing project work, including contract administration, project monitoring and refurbishment schemes.
• Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
• Undertaking building inspections and providing practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
• Managing instructions from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and other property professionals.
• Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the development of the wider team.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Building Surveyor who enjoys working across both project and professional services.

You will ideally have:

• MRICS qualification, or be working towards chartership with suitable experience.
• Solid experience across a broad range of building surveying instructions.
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent report-writing skills.
• The ability to manage multiple instructions and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
• A confident and professional approach to client management and business development.
• A proactive, collaborative attitude and a desire to contribute to a successful team.
