Building Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed property inspections and surveys, accurately identifying building defects and recommending solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, clearly describing construction methods, materials, and components.
• Assist senior surveyors in managing projects from inception to completion, including liaising with contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK housing and construction markets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Support re-training initiatives to align previous experience with UK-specific practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualification.
• Strong knowledge of building pathology, with the ability to describe materials and components in detail.
• Practical understanding of UK construction and housing markets.

Recommended:

• SABA courses relevant to UK building surveyors.
