An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join a leading family-owned private company, renowned for its successful track record in property investment, development, and strategic land promotion. This company boasts a diverse portfolio covering approximately 9 million sq. ft across more than 200 locations, primarily serving SMEs and supporting over 25,000 jobs. The Building Surveyor will play a crucial role in managing lease-end obligations and ensuring compliance with property law, making this an ideal position for a proactive and detail-oriented professional.

The Building Surveyor will be responsible for conducting property inspections, preparing detailed reports, and providing expert advice to landlords and tenants. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive environment that values expertise and encourages professional growth.

Responsibilities Included

- Conduct property inspections to assess repair liabilities at lease end.

- Prepare detailed dilapidations schedules, including schedules of condition and terminal schedules.

- Act as an advisor in dilapidations negotiations between landlords and tenants.

- Oversee repair and reinstatement works where required.

- Ensure adherence to property law, lease obligations, and health & safety regulations.

Skills and Attributes

- 3-5 years of experience in building surveying, property management, or a similar field.

- Strong knowledge of property law, lease agreements, and dilapidations procedures.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and report-writing skills.

- Competitive salary ranging up to £50,000, depending on experience.
