We’re currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor, to support the investment team with the delivery of disabled adaptions to Stockport Homes properties, private sector properties and projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Focus on the key purposes of this position - Customer satisfaction, quality control, health and safety and providing the teams with technical support and advice.
  • Assist the project leader with financial management and work closely with the Home Improvement Agency and occupational therapists to meet resident's needs.
  • Be responsible for the compliance with current building regulations such as Construction Design and Management regulations 2015 and statutory legislation.
  • Assist in the implementation of procedures, systems and monitoring.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working as a surveyor on functions such as adaptions, repairs, voids and refurbishment contracts.
  • Experience of working alongside contractors, monitoring quality, Health and Safety and cost.
  • Experience of carrying out feasibility surveys.
  • Experience of working on disability facilities grants.
  • Experience of working on DFG/adaptation contracts.
  • A good understanding of Health and safety legislation.
  • You must also hold SMSTS qualification.
