Job summary

Athena Expert Surveyors Ltd is recruiting for local pre-acquisition residential surveyors in Peterborough, Bristol, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, and Newcastle. You’ll work from a home office with a tightly mapped local patch and a modern, tablet-based workflow for site notes.

We offer a hybrid, flexible schedule, a fully uncapped 50:50 fee split, and ongoing CPD. You’ll bring MRICS/AssocRICS, a Building Surveying degree, and solid solo surveying experience.

Qualifications

• MRICS or AssocRICS qualification is essential.
• Degree in Building Surveying or related field required.
• Proven solo experience inspecting residential properties.

Responsibilities

• Run pre-acquisition residential surveys within a local patch.
• Utilise tablets and modern reporting software on site.
• Provide clients with clear, actionable advice and reports.
• Access training, mentoring, and CPD support when needed.

You’ll be the local expert, running pre-acquisition residential surveys across a sensible, tightly mapped local patch. No spending half your day stuck in traffic.

What You Bring to the Table:

• The Badges: AssocRICS / MRICS, ACIOB, MCIOB, ACABE, MCABE, or RPSA qualified.
• The Brains: A Degree in Building Surveying, Building Pathology, or similar.
• The Know-How: Solid experience flying solo on residential property inspections.
• The Tools: Comfort using digital apps and tablets on-site, a full UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK.
