Planned Investment Building Surveyor – London-based Housing Association

£27 PAYE - £34 Umbrella / Deemed LTD (Inside IR35)

35 Hours per week

Service Care Solutions is working with a Housing Association in London to recruit a Planned Investment Building Surveyor to support capital investment works, focusing on external cyclical repairs and kitchen & bathroom renewals.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, with a focus on resident satisfaction and health and safety compliance. The role is site-based, requiring regular inspections, risk identification, progress management, and customer issue resolution.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee delivery of planned works, including external and internal refurbishments (ECR, kitchens, bathrooms).
  • Conduct technical surveys using Viewpoint and Fieldview software.
  • Manage contractors, monitor work progress, and attend sites regularly.
  • Resolve resident queries and complaints effectively, maintaining customer focus.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and consultants for accurate cost tracking from estimate to final account.
  • Produce technical reports ensuring compliance with NHG’s standards.
Requirements:
  • HNC / HND / Degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or related field OR significant hands-on experience.
  • Strong project management skills, especially with capital investment / cyclical maintenance schemes.
  • Experience with contract administration and employer’s requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Viewpoint, and Fieldview.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
  • Membership with RICS or CIOB.
  • Degree in Building Surveying or Construction Management.
