Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP in Leeds is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its team. The role covers the full spectrum of building surveying services, including design and specification, clerk of works, contract administration surveys and dilapidations across sectors such as educational, commercial and industrial.

The candidate should hold an RICS-approved degree (2:1 minimum), be well organised and proactive with a full driving licence and strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver building surveying across professional and project work across sectors (educational, commercial, industrial).
• Provide design and specification, clerk of works, and contract administration surveys.
• Manage dilapidations and related building surveying tasks for multiple projects.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of building surveyors covering all aspects of professional and project related building surveying across a wide range of sectors including educational, commercial, industrial etc.

The role will cover the full spectrum of building surveying services including (but not limited to) design and specification, clerk of works, contract administration surveys and dilapidations.

The skills and experience you need to have for this role

• Relevant degree (RICS approved, 2:1 minimum)
• Well organised, diligent, and proactive
• A full driving licence
• Good IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS and other software)
• A team player

As a Building Surveyor at Ridge and Partners you will need to demonstrate the desire, drive and a real enthusiasm to becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor which will be fully supported by the company (the national Ridge APC support process) and the local Building Surveying Team.

You will need to be personable, presentable and have good communication skills in this client facing role. An ability to produce your own documentation based on our standards is essential, as is an ability to organise, manage your time efficiently in the delivery of the services for multiple projects at any one time.
