Job Title: Building Surveyor
Location:Hybrid Position – West London
Rate: £300 per day (Umbrella CIS - If a UTR number can be provided)
Contract Type:Full Time (3 to 6 month ongoing contract)
Start Date: ASAP

The Role As a Building Surveyor, you'll be a key link between the Council and its school sites, delivering planned maintenance, capital projects, and urgent repair works. Working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of public buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess building condition and prioritise works
  • Manage planned maintenance programmes and urgent repairs
  • Draft specifications and assist with procurement
  • Oversee contractor performance and site delivery
  • Maintain project tracking, budgets and reporting systems
  • Support bids for external funding
  • Align your work with climate-conscious principles

What We're Looking For Essential:
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Building Surveying
  • Proven experience in surveying and managing building works
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office and project management tools
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety and compliance standards
