Building Surveyor – Construction - Permanent Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Salary: £60,000 per annum Location: New Eltham, London Employment Type: Permanent

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a skilled Building Surveyor to join a well-established construction company. This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a professional who wants to work directly within the construction sector, supporting project delivery, quality control, and building compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct building inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysis across ongoing construction and refurbishment projects.
• Produce technical reports, specifications, and work schedules to support project planning and delivery.
• Monitor construction works on site to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with building regulations.
• Advise project teams on building design, materials, and construction methods.
• Manage contractor performance, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Provide advice on statutory compliance, health & safety, and building regulations.
• Support maintenance planning and long‑term asset management strategies.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Building Surveyor in the construction industry.
• MRICS qualified or working toward chartership is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building pathology, and statutory compliance.
• Excellent project management, organisation, and communication skills.
• Confident producing high‑quality technical reports and client‑facing documentation.
• Full UK driving licence for site visits.
