Our client is one of the UK’s leading housing associations and is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Building Surveyor to join their team based in East London, managing a patch there and in Essex.

Salary: up to £53,000 per annum + car allowance.

As a Building Surveyor in our Repairs and Maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing building repair projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities include conducting inspections, identifying defects, preparing detailed reports, and recommending solutions for repairs and upgrades.

The successful candidate will be able to carry out the following duties:

• Conduct building surveys and inspections to identify defects, issues, and maintenance needs.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations.
• Develop specifications and schedules for repairs and maintenance projects.
• Manage and oversee repair works, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Provide expert advice to clients, contractors, and stakeholders on maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and professionals to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Assist with preparing cost estimates and tender documents for repair projects.

Our clients’ Building Surveyors conduct detailed property inspections, including routine and complex repairs, Damp & Mould surveys, and specify appropriate remedial works.
