Building Surveyor (Rail)
Contract Length: 12 months MINIMUM
Location: Crewe to Carlisle. Predominantly looking after sites in Cumbria region, with occasional meetings in Manchester

Pay Rate to Candidate: Between £300 - £450 / day (Umbrella) + Van and Fuel Card
A Building Surveyor is required to join a Rail client on a long-term contract in Cumbria. As a Building Surveyor, you will be required to deliver annual property inspections, reporting on the condition of building assets, including stations, depots, and lineside buildings. The role will cover the route from Crewe to Carlisle, with most sites based in Cumbria. You will need to obtain a PTS and Working from Heights qualification.
The successful candidate will have a Building Surveying degree or equivalent, a full UK driving license, and the ability to work and communicate effectively within a team. Rail-specific experience with an STE05 competency and membership of a relevant engineering professional institution are preferred.
Please note, to qualify for this role, you must be willing to obtain a Personal Track Safety (PTS) ticket and a Working from Heights ticket. Additionally, you must pass drugs and alcohol screening and a medical assessment to ensure fitness for railway work.
