Job summary

A talent acquisition consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor for a 6-month contract in Cardiff. You will manage asset condition surveys, support Asset Engineers, and need strong communication skills along with relevant qualifications. The role offers a hybrid work model with a rate of £410 Umbrella. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

Overview

Building Surveyor
Location: Cardiff (hybrid - 1 week on-site, 2 weeks remote)
Contract: 6 months + possible extension
IR35: Inside
Rate: £410 Umbrella

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage asset condition surveys to required standards and deadlines.
• Report on asset condition using the company's asset management system.
• Support Asset Engineers with maintenance priorities, business planning, and technical work scopes.
• Monitor planned/reactive maintenance and attend scheme hand-backs.
• Fulfil Building Surveyor duties under CDM 2015.

Requirements

• HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Proven experience in building condition surveying.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM, and statutory maintenance requirements.
• Rail knowledge including track safety and possessions regime.
• Valid DBS, PTS, and STE5 competencies from Day One.
• Strong IT and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
