Job Title: Building Surveyor - Dilapidations Specialist

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong background in dilapidations to join our dynamic and growing team. You'll be working with a diverse client base, providing expert advice, and delivering high-quality professional services across a range of commercial property matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake and manage dilapidations surveys and reports
  2. Provide strategic advice to both landlords and tenants
  3. Conduct pre-acquisition and condition surveys
  4. Prepare and negotiate schedules of condition and repair
  5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in dilapidations (essential)
  2. Degree in Building Surveying or related field
  3. MRICS or working towards chartership (preferred)
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  5. Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
