King David School, a unique Primary School, is seeking an enthusiastic Building Site Manager to ensure the safety and upkeep of the school environment. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and possess good DIY skills. This role promises an engaging work atmosphere supported by committed staff and parents.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
  • Pride in work and able to organise own schedules.
  • Fluent spoken English is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Main key holder and setting alarms.
  • Janitorial and cleaning work, grounds maintenance.
  • Site security and maintaining health and safety paperwork.

Job description

King David is no ordinary Primary School – it is truly unique.

King David is a small Jewish School with a large mix of children from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, achieving high academic standards. Dedicated to promoting racial harmony, it has a family atmosphere, very supportive parents, committed staff and enthusiastic pupils who need a new enthusiastic Building Site Manager to join us.

Hours per week: 36.5

Weeks per year: 52

We are looking for someone who:

• is self-motivated and able to work under pressure, using their initiative well

• is able to organise their own schedules and take a pride in their work

• is able to identify and prioritise their work effectively and independently and take constructive feedback on their work

• is friendly and approachable and able to work with others

• has good basic DIY and repair skills

Basic duties will include:

• setting alarms and being the main key holder

• janitorial and cleaning work

• some grounds maintenance work

• health and safety of the school site and its users

• opening and closing the school buildings

• site security

• maintaining essential paperwork regarding health and safety

Interview Date: 24 July 2025
