Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is hiring a Technician in Building Services at the Ellesmere Port Campus. The role supports the Building Services curriculum with practical session prep, equipment maintenance, and demonstrations.

The position is permanent, 37 hours per week, with a competitive salary and extensive onsite facilities. The ideal candidate will have Level 2 in a relevant discipline, GCSEs in Maths and English, and relevant Building Services experience, plus IOSH and DBS requirements or

Qualifications

• Level 2 in relevant discipline is required.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4-5.
• IOSH qualification or willingness to work towards.
• First aid certificate or willingness to work towards.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sessions, workshop equipment and materials for Building Services curriculum.
• Provide technical support within the Building Services department.
• Develop and construct activities for practical sessions.
• Assist in practical classes, demonstrations and trials.
• Maintain materials and equipment in the area.
• Carry out risk assessments for technical activities.
