Qualifications

Job description

Established in 1913, The Rep has an unparalleled history as a pioneering repertory theatre and the launch-pad for some of the most exciting talent in UK theatre both past and present. Today it is a producing powerhouse with three auditoria as well as extensive on-site production facilities.

The Building Services Multis Skilled Technician works within the Facilities and Operations Team and is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the Rep and its associated buildings providing technical and physical assistance for a variety of maintenance activities including both reactive and planned preventative ensuring that our equipment, plants and assets remain in optimal working condition, preventing failures and breakdowns of systems and installations.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in theatres or similar venues and skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and building fabric. Strong communication, numeracy, and a UK driving licence are essential. Forklift, working-at-height, and PAT testing certifications are required or must be gained during probation. Experience in customer-focused settings and similar-sized organisations, ideally in producing theatre, is preferred.
