Full-time Permanent Position

We are seeking an experienced and talented Building Services Manager to oversee various sub-contractors involved in the design development, site installation, and commissioning of building services. The successful candidate will ensure all works are fully coordinated and delivered in accordance with the contract programme, client requirements, and relevant technical and legislative standards.

About the Role

Based within our Construction London & Home Counties division, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing and setting targets for the delivery of building services design and installation within agreed timeframes.
  2. Ensuring the design and installation of M&E services are fully coordinated, buildable, cost-effective, and compliant with contractual obligations.
  3. Providing necessary mechanical and electrical support, including managing service designs and their integration into the overall project design.
  4. Managing the building services design and installation processes to meet project schedules.
  5. Collaborating closely with project managers, design managers, and the commercial team, and supporting site management with M&E installation coordination.
  6. Assessing customer documentation and requirements, ensuring full integration into the Construction Operations Plan (COP) and installation processes.
  7. Monitoring services design and managing information flow between subcontractors and consultants.
  8. Ensuring high standards of health and safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Strong design and technical knowledge, including awareness of the latest regulations.
  • Previous experience with a Tier 1 contractor across preconstruction, project delivery, and commissioning phases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of detailed Building Services procedures and professional expertise.
Candidate Requirements

You should have a good understanding of construction techniques, hold an HNC (or equivalent), and be capable of producing M&E design, installation, and commissioning programmes. A passion for the project and the ability to work effectively within an inclusive, hardworking team environment are essential.
