Overview

We are working with a renowned national building contractor with a strong presence across the UK. Their expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education. They are known for delivering high–quality, innovative, and sustainable construction solutions. Due to continued growth they are seeking a skilled Building Services Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of MEP services across multiple construction projects
• Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure service designs meet specifications and project goals
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of building services, ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project delivery
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to building services
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during the construction and post–construction phases
• Ensure sustainability and energy efficiency targets are integrated into building services design and delivery

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, ideally within a national contractor or a large–scale construction environment
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and building services design
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring high–quality outcomes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem–solving skills
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it would be an advantage
