Job description

The Company

A multi award–winning Main Contractor specializing in delivering high–quality construction projects through several regional offices across the UK. The company prides itself on building long–term relationships and has established partnerships with leading brands and businesses. Currently, the company is experiencing rapid and sustained growth, delivering projects ranging from £10m to £50m on average.

Projects are mainly delivered on a new–build, refurbishment, or fit–out basis in sectors such as commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial, and retail.

The Role

This role focuses on the M&E management of multiple projects, offering an autonomous 'roaming' position where you plan your schedule independently. While primarily focused on live project delivery, you may also collaborate with the pre–construction team. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing the building services engineering design and installation process, minimizing risks to the project and the company.
  • Taking ownership of MEP delivery on significant projects.
  • Providing guidance for the production of project programmes.
  • Contributing to project reports and attending meetings as appropriate.
  • Attending and, where appropriate, chairing meetings with clients, designers, specialist contractors, and the wider project team.
  • Proactively monitoring health and safety processes.
  • Providing engineering services content for tender proposals.
  • Ensuring ongoing installation compliance with contract requirements and advising the project or divisional team.
  • Assisting and advising on technical issues such as procurement, contracts, final accounts, dispute resolution, and quality assurance.
  • Vetting and proposing contractors, specialist contractors, systems, and manufacturers for projects.

Benefits

The benefits package includes a car or car allowance, a competitive pension contribution, and private healthcare. Beyond tangible rewards, you'll have the opportunity to work for a well–known family–owned Main Contractor that values its employees and puts them at the heart of its operations.
